Family is a complex set of traditions. Even though it should be a safe place to be yourself. Even though it should be a safe haven to not be a part of that tradition. But for some people, many people, they have to work their ass off just to be on their own. I called it syadz. I'm the syadz. I was born and raised differently. Sometimes I feel okay about it and sometimes I don't. But mostly I am. But now I'm not.
